Responsiveness. The Upoint app relies on the Motion Sensing hardware of the iPhone. For a responsive cursor motion, these sensors should be sampled as often as possible. A large sampling speed, however, puts a strain on the phone's battery life, and also produces heat. With this slider, the user can balance these factors. A setting of 30, implying a sampling frequency of 30 samples/sec, typically produces a quick cursor response.
